Only 132 signed up to Green Deal To Date

Green Deal in the Slow Lane

Since it's launch earlier this year it has emerged that just 132 clients have signed up for the green deal plan. In June only 4 consumers had elected to take the offer.

"The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) said that just one person had reached the "live" stage of the programme so far."

Green Deal Plan
The public has been slow to take up the scheme aimed at improving Britain's housing stock by introducing energy saving measures for homes and businesses

A report published today by the BBC reveals the slow uptake of the Green Deal plan.

Disappointing news to new start up companies, who were hoping to make new business as part of the Government backed programme. Many small businesses and independent advisors and installers of energy saving measures are looking forward to the winter months when it is anticipated that interest in the scheme will increase.
